Univers Uchronia
Julien Sebban is the visionary behind Uchronia, a multidisciplinary design collective based in Paris. Founded in 2019, Uchronia blurs the boundaries between architecture, interior design, scenography, and collectible furniture — creating immersive, emotionally charged environments inspired by the idea of “fictitious time.”
Sebban’s bold and joyful approach is rooted in a love of color, expressive form, and artisanal craftsmanship. Under his direction, Uchronia has redefined contemporary hospitality and experiential design, with projects spanning restaurants, retail spaces, private residences, boutique hotels, and monumental installations.
The studio gained early acclaim for its transformation of the restaurant and bookstore at the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris, and has since gone on to create acclaimed works for Coachella, Paris Design Week, and more. Each space is conceived as a living narrative — a sensorial, story-rich experience that invites exploration.
Complementing its spatial work is Univers Uchronia, a self-produced furniture collection made entirely in France, celebrating craftsmanship and creative experimentation.
With a fearless, narrative-driven ethos, Julien Sebban and Uchronia continue to reimagine how we inhabit and feel space — boldly, playfully, and with meaning.
