MILAN DESIGN WEEK: EXTRA EVENTS

03.04.2025

During Milan Design Week 2025, cc-tapis participated in several exciting off-site events across the city as part of the Fuorisalone.

INTERMEZZO BY ATELIER DE TROUPE AND STUDIOUTTE, ART CURATED BY TRULS BLAASMO

The Intermezzo exhibition, created in collaboration between Studioutte and Atelier de Troupe, explores the delicate balance between presence and absence through a cinematic and subtle narrative. Featuring furniture by Studioutte and lighting by Atelier de Troupe, both made in Italy, the installation is further enhanced by bespoke rugs conceived by Studioutte and produced by cc-tapis.
Together, these elements craft a "liminal space," where the boundary between process and completion fades, offering visitors an immersive experience within its evocative atmosphere.

PAFF PAFF – LIMINAL SPACES FOR SENSORIAL RITUALS BY FINEMATERIA x PARK ASSOCIATI, CURATED BY COSTANZA NIZZI.

PAFF PAFF - Liminal Spaces for Sensorial Rituals is an immersive installation created by Finemateria, in collaboration with cc-tapis and QuadroDesign. The installation explores wool as a symbolic material, crafting a comforting, primordial space for visitors to reconnect with their senses and take a moment of rest away from the daily chaos.
cc-tapis contributed by producing custom-designed pieces using its advanced robo-tufting technology, based at the brand’s Milanese headquarters. This innovative process enabled the creation of intricate textures and forms with exceptional precision. The bespoke elements—including modular sound panels and seating—combined the warmth, softness, and scent of wool with natural sounds to create a sensory experience that evoked feelings of protection and well-being. The installation offered a tranquil retreat, inviting visitors to slow down and embrace a moment of quiet reflection.

ALCHEMICA BY ELLE DECOR ITALIA, CURATED BY PATRICIA URQUIOLA AT PALAZZO BOVARA

Elle Decor Italia returned to Palazzo Bovara with Alchemica, an installation curated by Patricia Urquiola with contributions from Valerio Tiberi, Antonio Perazzi, and Netsuke Studio.
Marking its 35th anniversary, Elle Decor reflected on the evolving nature of the home—an ever-changing space shaped by culture, lifestyle, and the rhythms of daily life.
cc-tapis contributed to the exhibition with three rugs that embody the spirit of transformation. Two new designs by Patricia Urquiola—Ripple and Cryptid—were featured, both also presented at the cc-tapis showroom during the week. Completing the trio was Like a Prayer by Taher Asad Bakhtiari, a piece that weaves tradition and experimentation into a striking, contemporary form.

REPERTORIO BY NILUFAR, CURATED BY NINA YASHAR

At the 2025 edition of Milan Design Week, Nilufar presented Repertorio — an immersive and scenographic exhibition conceived by Nina Yashar, where design took center stage in a theatrical five-act composition. Exploring the interplay between craftsmanship and art, past and future, nature and artifice, the exhibition offered a rich narrative of contrasts and connections. For the occasion, cc-tapis contributed with a custom-made rug, specially created to complement the vision and atmosphere of the installation.

ORIZZONTI BY DANIELE BORTOTTO AND GIORGIA ZANELLATO AT THE BRERA DESIGN APARTMENT

For 2025, the Brera Design Apartment hosted a new interior concept by Zanellato/Bortotto, where literary visions, photographs, notes, and artworks became the starting point for exploration and experimentation.
With Orizzonti, each room of the Brera Design Apartment became part of a journey through distant places and experiences, both in space and time.
cc-tapis took part in the project with Everyday, a collection entirely designed in-house, combining minimalist aesthetics with rich craftsmanship. For the occasion, two color variations were presented within the apartment, seamlessly integrating with the poetic atmosphere of the installation. Part of the cc-tapis ready-to-buy range, the Everyday collection brings refined textures and subtle design into everyday living spaces.
