In the context of 3daysofdesign, cc-tapis takes part in the third edition of Design / Dialogue, an exclusive exhibition organized by Ark Journal that brings together leading international brands in a highly curated setting shaped by conversation, exchange, and cultural relevance. It operates as a premium platform at the intersection of design, art, and architecture, aiming to elevate and promote design both nationally and internationally, while offering participating brands strong visibility within an editorial and curatorial framework.
Led by the curatorial team of Ark Journal and developed in collaboration with Pernille Vest, the exhibition invites exhibitors to contribute to the creation of a cohesive and immersive environment. Each participant is encouraged to present works that feel authentic and meaningful, embedded within a unified spatial narrative with strong artistic resonance.
Rooted in a dialogue between architecture, geometry, and textile craftsmanship, Dedalo is the new collection by studioutte that investigates the expressive potential of structure through three distinct weave constructions: Hydra, Cardo, and Cnosso. Each design explores a different relationship between knotted surfaces, geometrical compositions, and embroidered threads.
Drawing inspiration from historical architectural motifs and ornamental systems, the collection translates these references into their most essential forms. Grids, pathways, and modular patterns shift and repeat across the surface, forming rhythmic configurations that emphasize continuity, and recurrence. Here, ornament and repetition converge as a shared logic, echoing the recurring gesture at the core of all textile practices, where meaning and form emerge through the quiet persistence of reiteration.
The chromatic palette is built around five tones — brown, ivory, mustard, and black — tested across multiple combinations.
Handloom techniques, hand-embroidered details, and knotted constructions coexist within the collection, contributing to the making of each piece.
Stablished in 2020 by Guglielmo Giagnotti and Patrizio Gola, studioutte is a Milan-based multidisciplinary practice for interior architecture, decoration and furniture.
The vision of studioutte is distinctly Italian yet an integrated, harmonious reality. Its hybrid design is composed of vernacular architecture research and influences across various regional practices.
Through a clear, expressive approach that eludes reiterated and extreme elements, the aim is purity, a concentration into a primitive essence. A warm assertiveness meets an animistic devotion for objects and interiors. Reaching beyond the formality of simplicity, ideas are distilled into essential, poetic forms and spaces.
