CC-TAPIS AT CID GRAND-HORNU

17.12.2025

cc-tapis is presenting a selection of rugs at Meta-morphosa, the exhibition by Patricia Urquiola at the CID Grand-Hornu.

The collections Cryptid, M’ama non m’ama, Pipeline and Venus Power are featured within the exhibition as part of its curatorial framework.

The rugs are embedded within the exhibition’s spatial and conceptual landscape, contributing to a broader reflection on how design evolves in response to cultural, environmental and technological change. Textile surfaces, colour and materiality act as active elements within a setting shaped by experimentation and transformation.

Developed over the past five years, Meta-morphosa brings together Studio Patricia Urquiola’s most recent investigations. The exhibition reflects a world in constant flux, where climate change and artificial intelligence challenge established creative processes and reshape our relationship with matter, form and perception.

Throughout the exhibition, colour, texture and material expression remain in motion, as objects move between the functional and the speculative and familiar forms coexist with unexpected presences. Within this synesthetic landscape, cc-tapis highlights textile design as both a material practice and a cultural language, reinforcing an ongoing dialogue between craftsmanship, research and contemporary expression.
