Lines
100x230 cm
Lines began with Philippe Malouin sketching irregular parallel lines with wax crayon. A design which evolved through trial and error with the final aesthetic being part of experimental process. Special Tibetan craftsmanship was combined with a clever “dip-dying” technique for coloring the Himalayan wool. The combination of which achieved the same imprecise feeling of the original drawings of irregular lines with soft and uneven tones. An irregularity which is accentuated during production when the weavers use a different ball of yarn which results in a “glitch” in the design.
