Chateau Orlando
designed by Luke Edward Hall
“The world of Chateau Orlando is nothing if not eclectic, romantic and, of course, highly colorful. Our four Chateau Orlando rug designs for cc-tapis are not tied to a specific theme. Instead, I wanted to create a small collection comprising motifs that we love and incorporate into all our collections.”

About the collection
A collection of rugs which translates Chateau Orlando’s 1970s and ‘80s-inspired colorful motifs, geometric patterns, stripes and flowers applying the jacquard weaving technique to natural materials. Used for over two centuries primarily in the production of textile, jacquard is rarely adopted in the world of rug-making due to its complexity, employing thousands of individual spools of yarn being connected to traditional Indian handlooms.
