Vice Versa
designed by CHIARA ANDREATTI
Minimalism and symmetry created through an architectural intersection of yarn, Vice Versa is an ode to primordial gestures which applies natural materials such as jute and wool to the bold geometry of the reversible design.
Profoundly influenced by the 20th century Bauhaus movement, Chiara Andreatti constructs Vive Versa: a collection of hand-woven rugs where graphic and optical shapes define an arhythmic and hypnotic design interpreted with undyed colors.
Chiara Andreatti’s meticulous research into 20th century aesthetics is interpreted with a mechanical and methodical production process, softening rigorous elements with generous curves and hand-spun materials. Line by line, cc-tapis artisans weave the weft and the warp together, combining the positive and negative shapes of the design, which is revealed on both sides of the rug.
