Le Tapis Nomade
designed by Atelier de Troupe
about the collection
Capturing the meeting of California and Italy, of the LA-based furniture brand and the Italian rug-maker, Le Tapis Nomade embodies Atelier de Troupe’s identity and benefits from the quality and craftsmanship of cc-tapis.
“Designed in Los Angeles, produced in Nepal, debuted in New York”
Le Tapis Nomade, a rug born from the collaboration between Atelier de Troupe and cc-tapis, a stimulating encounter that culminated in a dedicated photo and video shoot.
As the name of the collection suggests, the rug is a crossroads of different cultures and cinematographic references. A juxtaposition of two distant inspirations: the nomadic aesthetic of Berber carpets and the art direction of Michelangelo Antonioni’s 1975 film, The Passenger. Atelier de Troupe’s intention was to create a rug that transcends era and locale ultimately creating something nomadic.
